Are we, and by ‘we’ I mean ‘you’, homeowners yet? Landed gentry? Eligible to vote in the early 19th century? Well… you still wouldn’t be even with property but still…

So, we really are almost there. Everything's all set, the title folks bring me "the packet" at my office tomorrow to sign. Then it's real.

All in all, I think I've mostly lucked out with my first home-buying experience. We started this whole search from a standing start in late May (I literally had not even considered the possibility until then). Thanks to all of you who've provided advice and assistance; I'll probably need more along the way, but it's certainly helped immensely so far.

Yay! Congratulations! Would that I could give more than moral support (amoral support? I could give that ;) ). I'd still be happy to help with the move, just let me know where/when.

Candye Kane's show is on Wed, the 5th- I'd love to take you, but entirely understand if that would be one more complication. Kitminx and company come to town that weekend, too. Maybe we can get together. Or get together before then, for that matter.

I'd love to do the show, and get together, both with you, and with Kitminx and Co, but I suspect deciding on the show will be a last-minute "how badly have I triggered a flare?" decision. I'm sure we can make something work over the weekend, though, and I'll know more by midweek next week, so poke me about that when we make a final decision about the show, ok?

(and I'll totally take you up on move help -- we can figure that out when we get together, since it'll be a long process, and almost any evening is good)
