*sigh* Keep meaning to get back here and post stuff.

Life is hectic at the moment; we've had a whole run of outages at work, I've been working a bunch of overtime and working hard and fast to take calls and write newbie documentation for all our summer contractors at the same time. I'm busy, but happy.

Home stuff is quiet at the moment, with Grafton out of town. Caleb borrowed Bill's classical double bass, though, and he's in absolute heaven. I'm kind of enjoying it too. We've also got Coco for the week, which I enjoy.

There so much I really want to post about -- being angry about the 5 assholes who tried to bomb a bridge locally (sad and ashamed that they were even peripherally a part of Occupy Cleveland, but the violent anarchists seem to be the progressive movement's cross to bear, like the militia folks are for the right wing). Being pissed about a million different political things, and being fascinated and amazed at cool discoveries and geekery. I may toss out a few this evening, but I'm not sure if I'll get any time at all; it's taken me 'til almost 9pm just to get this written, and I'm about to spend my break proofreading more documentation.

Healthwise I'm having a rough few weeks, but I'm still quite thrilled by how comparatively not-rough that is. This heavy almost-storming weather is absolutely the worst for me. I've been taking extra meds here and there to get through, but most days my basic daily scrips are working well enough that I don't have to. I'm foggier and achier and more migrainey than I have been since the med switch, and that's still at least a threefold improvement overall. In comparing ratio of "living time" to "recuperating time" I'd say I'm living about 50% more, and also hurting about 75% less. That's pretty damned awesome. I've even been able to take on overtime, which is huge! I don't think I've made it more than three days without time off in quite a while (which is why we eventually split my week the way we did). I'm now on seven days straight of working due to overtime. And I'm feeling a bit crappy from the weather, but remarkably functional and not ready to collapse and sleep all day tomorrow or Saturday. Also, it occurs to me that I should dig my TENS unit back out and give it another try. It wasn't effective for the deep joint pain, but it did feel good for the fibro-aches. Now that I've got the joint pain under control with the mobic, the TENS might be more effective than it was before.

Also, coworker whose husband is a chef at a chinese restaurant just offered me a lovely plate of home-cooked chinese food. Mmmm-tasty.
