It's 6am. I'm about halfway through Mortuary, which appears to be a thriller about the creeping mildew of doom. Denise Crosby has exactly the same hairstyle as she did as Tasha Yar. I shouldn't talk. Mine's been the same for at least as long.
No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency is full of awesome. The special features are even cooler (they're all available in the On Demand for HBO, if you have it). Lots I didn't know about Botswana's history and politics.
Castle is an ideal role for Nathan Fillion; I'm loving it, and enjoying him so much more than I did in Drive. Much more of a "Mal" feel, and I'm a Firefly fan at heart.
I'm also really digging United States of Tara. I connect with the sense of "fundamentally healthy and close family dealing with intense mental illness stuff".
The History Channel's How The Earth Was Made is also really cool; I'd recommend it for kids, particularly. It gives a really good and interesting sense of the practical storytelling aspects of geology by looking at a specific location in each episode, and going through the geological forces that created it.
A hopeful start on improvements to NY's Rockefeller Laws
Life in general is good. Some more hits from the economy around the household, but we're getting through. I've had several good conversations this weekend, and am psyched about some possibilities.
